Cancellation policy

At MYS, we process orders quickly to ensure your salon equipment arrives on time. Please review our cancellation rules based on the order status:

1. Cancellation Before Shipment (The "Grace Period")

  • Window: You may cancel your order for a full refund within 12 hours of placement.

  • How to Cancel: Email chunhuili@makeyoursalonfurniture.com with the subject line: "URGENT: Cancel Order #[Order Number]".

  • Processing: Once confirmed, your refund will be processed immediately to your original payment method.

2. Cancellation After 12 Hours (Pre-Shipment)

If you request a cancellation after 12 hours but before the item has been picked up by the carrier:

  • A 3.5% Transaction Fee will be deducted from your refund.

  • Why? Credit card processors (Shopify/Stripe/PayPal) charge us non-refundable transaction fees the moment you swipe. We pass this cost on for late-stage cancellations.

3. Cancellation After Shipment (In-Transit)

Once the item has been loaded onto the truck and a tracking number has been generated, the order cannot be canceled as a standard request.

  • If you still wish to cancel, it will be treated as a Return.

  • Buyer Responsibility: You will be responsible for the original outgoing shipping costs AND the return shipping freight charges, even if "Free Shipping" was offered at checkout.

  • Intercept Fee: Many freight carriers charge a "Rerouting/Intercept Fee" (usually $85+) to turn a truck around. This will also be deducted from your refund.

4. Custom or Special Orders

  • Orders for custom-colored upholstery or personalized equipment are Non-Cancelable once production begins (typically 24 hours after order placement).

5. Backordered Items

  • If an item is on backorder, you may cancel at any time before the restock date for a full refund without any fees.
